Rita Gusmao


Rita Gusmao is the co-owner of the Five Element Wellness Center. She has over 30 years of experience in administration and customer service and is originally from Brazil. Her father moved to the United States in search of a better life in 1958 when Rita was just 3 years old. In 1960, he brought over his wife and their 3 kids. Rita lived in New Jersey until 1970; her parents moved the family back to Brazil. She decided to return to the United States in 1992 and relocated to Florida where some of her family members resided. In 2001, Rita and her daughter, Monique, opened the first Five Element Wellness Center in Tamarac, FL. The clinic specializes in acupuncture, chiropractic and several other holistic modalities. In 2016, Rita open the second clinic based in Weston, FL. She manages the administration and management of both clinics while interacting with patients and ensuring their experience is exceptional.

Lori Jomsky


Comes to Five Element Wellness Center with over 10 years experience in the Healthcare industry. As a Medical Billing Specialist, she is a vital part of our Wellness Center specializing in Medical Billing, Insurances and other various duties. She has been part of the Five Element family for the past 5 years and resides in West Palm Beach with her family.

Matt Shale


Observed post activity routines (cool-downs, stretching), rewarding those athletes who participated with maximized efforts and decreased physical injury. Matt has experienced and observed the calming, stilling, beneficial aspects massage can have on performing artists. Having performed as a violinist, pianist, and actor, on stages throughout the US and England (Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Carnegie Hall, off-Broadway, Oxford Playhouse). Matt has first-hand knowledge and awareness of the positive response massage and bodywork can have on quieting the body’s heightened reaction and adrenaline to pre-performance jitters. Whether treating carpal tunnel syndrome or sciatica, stiff neck or back, physical and mental fatigue from demanding schedule, or anyone in the modern day lifestyle, Matt has seen and treated the varying and debilitating affects stress places on the body. Matt enjoys an active lifestyle playing tennis, running, and practicing tai-chi.

Sandra Duque


Has been part of the Five Element Wellness family for over 12 years. Sandra is an integral part of the company and her main focus is performing Endermologie (cellulite treatment). She is bi-lingual and her positive and friendly attitude makes her a joy to work with. Her work ethic and her commitment to the company allows us to keep growing and to keep our clients happy and healthy.

Angel Gioe


Began offering clients the gift of massage in 2011 and has progressed remarkably as a professional since. Prior to joining our team in December of 2013, she became certified as a lymphatic drainage practitioner of the head, neck and face while mastering prenatal therapy as well. She provides customized therapeutic massage to meet the needs of each client. She then continued her education even further by becoming an esthetician! Her personal time is spent being a mother to her 2 cutie patooty fur babies, Punkin Pi and Mister Cheeks.

Julia Gusmao


Has a license in Massage Therapy and is a certified Reiki master. She has over 15 years of experience working in the medical field and has been working at Five Element Wellness since 2015. Her strengths are performing Shiatsu, deep tissue massages,and reflexology with emphasis in stretching . She takes pride in working with the toughest cases of chronic muscle tension, stress related debilitation, handicapped patients and patients with sports related injuries. Julia is an athletic professional who hás dedicated years of her life to cardiovascular and muscle training.Julia loves her job and cares deeply for her patients.

Chris Fitzgerald


Is a LMT, Licensed Massage Therapist, specializing in deep tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, and sports stretching. Chris graduated from the American Institute in Coconut Creek in 2013. He has been working for Five Element for just about 2 years helping patients from massage to assisting the chiropractor with the electrical stem and ultra sound therapy. Since becoming a Massage Therapist just over 2 1/2 years ago, Chris continues his education and studies at Broward College working on his degree to become a Physical Therapist. He is motivated to help patients work on turning their chronic pain into the pleasure of feeling pain free.

Jill Torre


Jill has been with the Five Element Wellness Center family for 2 years. Jill is one of several patient coordinators that run our front office. She always greets each patient with a smile and makes sure that every patient that enters our facility has a happy and healthy experience.

Carole March


Carole A. March, born in Jamaica W.I. and lived in Canada, Grand Cayman and now Pembroke Pines, Florida. First job was at Kingston Public Hospital in the Fracture Clinic with Dr. McNeil-Smith where the love of the medical profession was first realized. Since then have garnered a wide experience in different industries such as banking, marketing, shipping and the travel and leisure industries. Now have come full circle and is back in the medical profession for the past 12 years. Currently works at Five Element Wellness after completing the NCIC certification.

Bryanna Trawinski


By recently joining Five Element as a receptionist, she finished school and is now starting her externship with us as a Medical Assistant. She is very passionate about the medical field. Her goal was to become a nurse practitioner, until she saw the amazing effects and outcomes acupuncture has on the patients. Five Element taught her, and continues to teach her about Holistic medicine. She wants to continue her studies to soon become and acupuncturist.

Dr. Marisol McManus


Dr. Marisol McManus was born and raised in Puerto Rico and did her undergraduate studies in Business Administration at the University of Puerto Rico. She traveled extensively overseas and it was during her years living abroad that she learned about and became interested in Oriental Medicine. Dr. McManus earned a Master of Acupuncture degree from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, Fla. Over her many years in practice, Dr. McManus has helped many patients suffering from a variety of health problems, including chronic pain, fibromyalgia, digestive and menstrual disorders, infertility, anxiety, stress, high blood pressure, skin issues, and more. She is well skilled at assessing each person's unique condition at the levels of body, mind, and spirit for a deep and lasting healing experience. Dr. McManus is a diplomat with the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed by the State of Florida. In addition, Dr. McManus holds certifications as an Acupuncture Detox Specialist, Acupoint Injection therapist, and Medical Qigong Practitioner. She is also certified as an Oriental Facial Rejuvenation practitioner. Additionally, Dr. McManus is one of the founders of Boricua Barefoot Doctors, an organization dedicated to empowering and strengthening communities by providing affordable, basic integrative healthcare and lifestyle education in Puerto Rico. Throughout this year she will be participating in several free clinics in Puerto Rico helping communities devastated after Hurricane Maria in 2017.
